Less than 5 degree in the tea room...

Usually its not that cold in this season and the temperature in the house is around 10 degree in the morning... but because of the special cold wave its less than 5 degree in the tea room this morning! Hopefully there is hot tea!

Winter writing...

Field researches and mountains explorations are always more fun, make better landscapes and beautiful photos and souvenirs. But at the end, its often during the digestion, alone front of the paper that you start understand the things... I love winter for that!

A light in the night...

I spent the last ten years studding and making research about puerh tea. Nearly everyday I ask myself the same question: but finally what is puerh tea?
Front of a so complex question, you cannot go straight, and need to turn around, explore deeply the landscape, the backgrounds, the other fields surrounding. Often these explorations drive you (nearly) nowhere and you can easily spend weeks or months without finding anything... but when after so much times keeping searching in this darkness you find a light, sometimes just one crucial line in an historical text, or one connexion between two facts apparently not related... its always an indescribable joy!
